[Rhodes22-list] Knoxville TN Rhodes 22 Club meeting

   Yea Bill Shafer or more correctly his wife Sue have had a 1979 Rhodes
   22 for a while. This was my first visit to CYC, nice place.
   I live 5 min from Cedar Hill Marina on Cherokee Lake.  The Cherokee
   lake Sailing Club is based at Black Oak Marina about 4 miles south of
   me.
   I started work here in Jan last year and moved here last March. It is
   a good place to live and work.
   Over the last year Stan has sold me a previously owned standard
   mainsail and 170 Genoa. These sail upgrades (from my blown out sails)
   have greatly improved the way the boat sails. I keep learning.

   I did not plan on a project boat, but I did learn a lot fixing,
   rigging and experinmenting on the boat. I beleive however that the
   best buy is a GBI recycled boat. Also with a recycled boat the
   wife-approval factor is much higher.
