here the story as I know it and I do not know if I have all the details, got it from some quickly phone calls.

1)Monday night/Tuesday mooring, Eltion was moving boat north for the boat show, the seaward26 in this case. remember he needs to
take two boats to Chicago(the rhodes22 was already propositioned 60 miles from the show), The "working under time pruesser" is what
got him, at least in my option, A bad thing to do with sailboats :-)

2)That was the night of the storm, about 120 miles north of the plant on 295, going 50 mph(claims everyone was passing him). road
were dry, so into a turn near a exit ramp and hits black ice(My option he drove into the frezing rain part of the storm but that
20/20 hind sight, 120 miles south on the coast the road might have been fine when he left the plant, my option.

3)jackknife, boat trailer/van go spinning, his van loose the running board, trailer looks like it smashed into the side of the van,
trailer very bent up, fount coupler and bar bent to hell, trailer messed up where is meet the van. boat is flung from the
trailer(remember he in the right lane, boat ends up in the center strip, 2-3 lane wide road), lands on the keel. Their was some snow
that protected the finish form "road rash" and the only damage is the lead bulb came off where is landed on it(BTW about 400 pounds
on the 1200 of bassist), not bad at all considering, no crack, no buckheads broken, no hull broken/cracked, mast hardware fine
etc..., bottom line the boat came thought fine and better than could be expected.

4)"Eltion is Fucked time", Think what you would do:-) it is not pretty, in the middle of nowhere, van smashed, trailer smashed,
boat on the side of the road, alot of money invested in a boat and a boat show. Lots of money flowing to make things happen, OK gets
the trailer into a weild shop and they fix up it up along with the van. thats tuesday. gets a hold craine services for wednesday
morring to get the boat on the trailer, but they need to close 295 to do it, calls the cops at first they where delaying for a few
days then he told them he is getting the boat on the side of the road, "You are the boat man", apparently he is famious that every
cop known the story on that strech of highway. He tells them about the boat show and they let him use the crane 900am.

5)late and behind time he makes it to the show, but turnes it into a great marketing optiunity to show how strong the boat is, got
to love the guy.

MJM

I am sure thier move but he have fill you in.
