Have you seen the Pacific / Yankee Dolphin 24?  (Sparkman and Stephens)
Small cockpit and huge cabin with standing headroom--about 6' maybe slightly
less.  Combination keel like an R22.  Trailerable.  I know a couple who
lived aboard during the summer on Lake Superior.
