I know there have been lots of replies to this original posting. I set up my back stay adjuster slightly differently. Instead of tightening the backstay tension line directly to the block on the backstay, I ran the line over the bar at the back of the boat to reach there. The effect is exactly the same, however it has the effect of pulling the backstays out of reach of the mast. Has anyone tried that - does anyone have any comments or reason why this should not be done?

I am including a photo to show what I did. (Note how the vlue line goes over the back rail). You may also notice that there is a R22 with a Canadian flag! I have now moved up to one of the lakes in North Ontario called Lake Muskoka - the lake is just big enough for a 22' boat, the weather is great and I am getting to go out really often.

While I am at it, I am including a photo of my wheel so that you can see a R22 with a wheel.

I have another question, but, another posting...
