Todd:
PS MJM,do you control access to the "add topics to the FAQ's" page
   (he'll never see this)

There is another answer to this. Will Barry might be able to help here.
Just remember Will is a full time student and EMS guy.

Has anyone heard from Tom Evans lately?

   Bob,

As it may have already been pointed out, (sorry I do not read
every post) the archives can only be searched by month and hen by
either date, author, subject, or thread. Unfotunately, as is
common with e-mail lists, sometimes we do not change the sbject
lines. The idea of organizing the archives into a easily sarchable
database has come up before, but we always have the FAQ Topics sie
   [1]http://www.gocities.com/blew_skies/topics.html

What I usually do is copy e-mails that interest me an paste
them into word document files, then label them as to subject, and k eep
them in a folder on my hard drive. Sounds like a cold winter
evenng activity, huh? In the meantime, fire away wth the
questions You will probably get a mixed bag of answers, references
to specifi archive dates, forwarded e-mails, attached pics, an
occaisonal thwac from the spell checkers and grammer nazis (lol)
out there...........and of course....one grumble about why we have
to answer th same questions from every newbie...but don't let that
   stop you.

   Todd

    Phllis,
I "sorta" got replies. Think I would have done better had Iosted
   each
question separately with a clear subject heading.
I was redirected to the archives of this discussion list and I
   gathert is
pretty much the only exclusive Rhodes forum. What I was realy
   after was a
more convenient way of researching rather than mor data; but from
   Mary
Lou's instructions, these archives do not apear electronically
   searchable.
She did direct me as well to Sailbatowners.com, which does
   feature
electronic search. As well, at Silnet (under resources, message
   board,
search), I found an old, mniscule, unflattering review of the
   Rhodes. Not
    much help there. Bob

     Robert and Sandra,

As relative newbie to the Rhodes list, having just bought my
   boat Aug.
     28
I was interested in the replies you might receiv from the list
   to your
question below, not about the head ofhoice but the archives...

so far I haven't sen an answer to that question. SORRY IF I
   MISSED IT-

I believe the rhodes22.org site, the General Boats site are the
main archives. I used to think there was a geocitiesblewskies siteut
     whenever
I try to access that I get linkedo the www.rhodes22.org site

For fun I googledhodes 22 sailboat today and did find:

     http://ww.geocities.com/blew_skies/reviews.html#Pihlaja

&g; with a review of the Rhodes 22 boat. and of course there are
quite a few sites that will try to hook people up to boats for sale
site.

From personal experience of buying my use Rhodes 22 direct from
   an
    owner,
not throug Stan, I would surely say if you can afford it your
   first
     chice
would be to buy from General Boats. The list has proven o be
   very
     helpful,
and Stan has helped me out ith getting a manual for example
   (which
considering I did pu down a 100. deposit to buy from General
   Boats, and I
did no ask for refund, I thought to be reasonable...but I think
   the
     owners
who have bought from General Boats directly have goten more
   support.

If anyone on the list has othr archive sites to offer up please
   do so.

I thnk it would be helpful to new to the Rhodes 22 list folks
   could
    &t; receive
a list of any sites for reference when they firsteceive the
   Welcome to
     the
     Rhodes list message

     Good luck.

Hello, the list! My wife & I had areat time @ the St.Pete
   show,
     including a
nice demo sail from Stan on Tampa Bay. First time on a Rhodes.
   Even better
was a chance to jaw with Stan for while. Just as you folks
   hold him in
esteem, he holds yo in high regard and his frequent advice was
   to "ask
     the owners". So I will.
I'm an old(er) guy,ew to sailing, who has intermittently
   lurked on the
     lis
in the past. But I'm cloudy on a few essentials. When smeone
   refers to
searching the list or archives, how do yu do this? Is this a
   reference
     to
the isting of FAQ on the GBI site? Is there still some
   connection with
Sailnet where a body of info resides?
I hope t become a Rhodie in the near future and because I want
   to spend
    &t; my
remaining years sailing and maintaining (rathe than
   repairing), I'm
     aiming
for a newoat. The choices to be made seem daunting and no
   terror of
    &t; the
seas more menacing than the marine head. I'm temped to go with
   a
     portapotty
although I esitate to limit the potential of the boat so
   severely. Stan
suggested asking the list about Lectrasan. Sounds great, but
   expensive and I
fear the attempt to solve a compex problem by introducing such
   a complex
gadget is a trimph of hope over judgment. Anyone have
   experience with
     Lctrasan?
     Many thanks, Bob
