Rummy,
The islands on the north shore have some campsites with wood-burning saunas
that most folks try to keep secret.  Our Duluth sailing friends know where
they are.  I HAVE been swimming in Lake Superior, but only after a long
sauna.

Funny you should mention amethyst and liquor.  Amethyst is one of the
symbols that members of AA use to reaffirm their sobriety.  Don't ask me why
I know this.
