Brad,

   I guess it depends on what sailboat you have.  While it has been hot here
too, Saturday afternoon the breezes were good, but variable.  It would blow
5 to 10 one direction for an hour, stop and blow 4 to 6 in a different
direction for 15 minutes then stop, wait 20 minutes, and blow 5 to 6 in a
third direction.  A Rhodes22 can easily handle this stuff.   

   I thought of Bill Effros's post about setting up and sailing by moving
weight around.  I guess Bill could not sail on Lake Hartwell, it just does
not work that way.  However, if you are willing to sail in different
directions with different sail set ups, well it was sailing...And the breeze
kept you cool.
