[Rhodes22-list] Gasoline spill under the floor

Barry,

I called a friend of mine who is a chemical salesman
that specialized in polymers for waste treatment
plants.  He also sells a product in bulk to companies
that operate seagoing vessels for bilge cleaning.  All
kinds of nasty stuff, like gasoline on gasoline
barges, gets dumped into the bilge.  Please don't ask
me to explain the chemistry involved (would someone
please get Roger back) but the stuff works.  You can
buy small quantities from West Marine, etc.

Not to understate the potential hazards of your
prediciment, gas vapor is lethal, and that is why all
gasoline powered inboard boats must have bilge blowers
installed.  But, all gasoline powered boats do get gas
spilled in the bilges sooner or later.  There are tons
of products out there. Here's one:
