Herb,

Sorry.  It's a peculiarity of the English language.  I know you didn't 
say "Brownie, you're doin' a heck of a job."  W. said that last Friday.  
You said "Why is it 'Bush's fault'".  What I meant to say was that I 
think that when someone says a person he has appointed is doing a good 
job, when virtually everyone else thinks he is doing a poor job, that 
the person who appointed the person doing the poor job must get some of 
the responsibility for the poor performance.  It is that person's fault 
that a bad job is being done.  Apparently, you disagree, and think that 
it is not the President's fault because the person he appointed is doing 
a bad job, nor is it the President's fault if he commends the person 
doing the bad job, and says he thinks that person is doing a good job.  
It would seem that the President is now waffling on that point.  How 
about you?  Sorry about the confusion.  I will try to be more careful in 
the future.
