You are over thinking this, skip the note books(2 is
way to much), be satisfied with your reach(sounds like
you did enough), and get a boat and go sailing, free
advice, your stuck in "analyst pluralist" or all
research proxy for getting a boat or a excuse for not
committing. In the end " just do it". The Rhodes22 is
a comfy day sailor(vs racing) that can seat 5-6 in the
cockpit, sleep 2 adult(and 2 kid, maybe 3 with cockpit
filler cushion's), for a weekend, is more "camping"
than Yatching, behaves well, very forgiving, dry ride,
sails nice, jibing is good for the boat, trailing is
simple and doable, does good on lakes, bays and very
near coastal, does not belong in riding out a daylong+
storm(the boat will take it the crew will be dead) and
for that reason more that 4 hours from safe harbor.
good value for the boating money and low maintenance.
your wife will love the head, IMF and the motor lift.
The foam will save the boat someday(generally from a
captain fuckup :-), Last but not least the price
higher for a 22 but alto lower for any size up and is
hold it value. just do it. -mjm
