 Yes, I'm back and thank you.  I am still in the Army.  They kept me so long they have to let me retire.  I gave Stan a deposit. He estimates he can't finish the boat until 2007 so I have time.  Meanwhile I am going to try and take a "loaner" as soon as I get some of the logistics worked out and I owe him a wish list of features, but I am undecided what I need or want.  Naturally I have questions like, radio type, compass, GPS, GBI accessories, and such.  I've been following the coversations for a couple of weeks.  I also have to choose a motor. Dave,Thanks, that answers my question about a written warranty, and operationally it's no problem at all. Everything I've seen and read says that Stan is absolutely first rate. But the issue for customers that haven't followed this board, and insurers who have never heard of General Boats, is and will be "what's the deal with a refurb?", and having something written with multiple and sufficient disclaimers etc might help his business model. I believe other companies have warranties on their products and> prosper, it might help GBI.
