[Rhodes22-list] We're In the Water!

Well, it took two trips by Elton (engine issues that led to us buy a new Mercury 8hp 4 stroke ... waiting for which forced Elton to have to return to finish the job), but our 1990 recycled R-22 is in the water and we went for our first sail on the Potomac.  We're excited as hell here in the Putnam household.    
 
And Dave (DCLewis1), I'm assuming it was your boat I saw attached to Elton's van ... she's a beauty.  You and I have very similar setups -- and only one year apart in age, I believe.  I think you were his next stop.  You're in Deale, MD, right?  I think that's where Elton said he was going next, but he speaks softly, so I could be wrong.  Like me, he's probably been briefing you daily on his Alabama troubles.  Well, he's understandably a little tired (I think he slept two hours last night after returning from Alabama sans boat -- bent axle meant the Alabama boat is still in Alabama), but he was a great help in getting us acquainted with our Rhodes and helping us get her underway.
 
To all who've given advice to me up to this point, many thanks.  You, along with Stan, were greatly helpful in guiding me through the decision-making in the recycling process.  Of course, now that I'll be out on the water making mistakes and messing things up on the boat, you'll be hearing from me even MORE often!
