Ed, Re pull start: What Elton told me, and I have not yet explored, is that
our Yamaha does indeed have a pull start capability; but to use it you have
to pull the cowl off the motor and attach a separate kit, whereupon the
motor can be manually started. I'm not sure whether what's needed is simply a
cord to wrap around a pulley to effect the pull, or whether you have to attach
something like a pull start assembly to the motor, I have to find out. For
practical purposes, at this point, I don't think we have a pull start. I
have much to learn about the motor - and everything else.

Dan, You asked about an operating manual: There is something like an
operating manual and you should be sure to ask Elton for it. He very nearly
forgot to give it to us at the end of the day. It came in a folder with the bill
of sale, a written warranty, and a note thanking us for our purchase. It's
a nice package. The manual is 30 typewritten pages long. Unfortunately, we
have what I think is the cover page of the manual copied 8 times, and then
the manual starts in on page 8, but this is just a glitch and I'm sure GBI will
follow-up with the right pages when I ask them for the material.

I have just scanned the manual quickly, it looks useful and interesting, I
will read the whole thing, but I'm sure there are no diagrams or pictures in
it. It doesn't begin to replace the sort of "you now put this into that" type
of instruction that Elton will step you through. Also, unless they are in
the first 8 pages, there are no lists (e.g. commissioning lists).

Dave.
