[Rhodes22-list] GPS Sailing at Night

The GPS is quite handy. I have used the tracks feature to find way back to
my marina after overnighting and waking up to a heavy fog. We stayed in
Hilton Head a while back and I had my kayak with me. I decided to paddle
around the many canals the wind around the interior of the island. The
tracks feature helped me find my way back thru the maze.

When we were cruising up the East Cost last summer the tidal info was quite
helpful. Also VMG features can help you when racing or cruising. You can use
GPS to help trim sails and CB.

You can get by without one but for the price they really are amazing.
