[Rhodes22-list] Seven Anchors

I'm down to 7 anchors.  The plastic clad original anchor on the bow is 
gone forever--I'll never again use a clad anchor--I replaced it with a 
Fortress FX-7 (I think) which exactly fits into the brackets Stan 
provided for the clad anchor.  I am anchoring from the bow, again, and 
using the forward anchor tray, again.

I spent more time anchored than sailing last summer.  The problem with 
testing anchoring is that you have to leave the hook in for a long time 
to make sure it is securely set in changing wind and current 
situations.  I tried everything, and will report back as soon as I have 
the time.

The short version of what I discovered is that having sufficient flaked 
rode instantly available where you need it is more important than the 
anchor you use.  The anchor coatings defeat the holding and setting 
power of the anchors.  Once you learn to set anchors you can set them 
every time so they will never ever drag.
