[Rhodes22-list] Sailing Technique Question

Go figure, Mother Nature didn't cooperate tonight. The winds were about 12
mph and didn't gust as much as I thought they would. I was able to keep the
genoa out at 155% most of the time and reduced it to about 130% for a
while. I kept the main at full. Tonight the Admiral (my wife) took my
advice and joined my on the gunwhale and used the SS grab rail on the stern
wall of the cabin to hold on to. It was impressive how much better the boat
handled the puffs of wind and how we could go faster with the extra weight
on the windward side. I have done no sailing with the pop top up (no need
to open it) and have lowered the main sail a few times in heavier winds.

Overall tonight was just about perfect sailing :)
