Yours is an interesting data point.  It might be interesting to find  out if 
others on the board- that live above the hard freeze line (Ill, Pa,  NY, 
N.Eng) -  have had similar experience.  Actually, it goes  beyond the R22 and could 
be any boat with water and head - I can't think of any  "winterizing unique" 
features the R22 has (correct me if I'm wrong).  I  wonder if anyone knows of 
boats preped for winter (pumped out/dried  out holding tanks and water tanks) 
that have burst or cracked tanks,  sewage lines, valves, etc in the course of 
a winter?
