[Rhodes22-list] New R22 Owner!!

Wally,

With a hard-wired remote you could still raise the
mast from the foredeck, at the speed of your choice
using less labor. I'm thinking about this for our own
special needs in Gulfport. There are no docks (thanks
Katrina). We could probably launch from the beach
using our Kubota RTV if we retrieved the trailer with
a cable. Our 'home' was three blocks inland before
Katrina blew most everthing away and we tore down the
rest. It is now beach front property. I'll have to
check the overhead electric line situation. It may be
possible to tow from the beach to home without
lowering the mast. We leased another property about
two miles away and north of the tracks to park our
equipment on. It didn't get hit by the surge from
Katrina so we could store the boat there during the
next evacuation. My son is getting cabin fever after 9
months of living in an RV and is ready for a sailboat.
 I'm ready too!
