I was at West Marine yesterday, cleaning out my bank account, and noted a  
bunch of 4 packs of large cylindrical Taylor fenders on display.  Each 4  pack 
was packaged in shrink wrap poly with info/disclaimers/decorations all over  
the poly so that I couldn't examine the fenders in the package.  At the  time I 
concluded the reviewer might have been on to something, I couldn't  examine 
the fenders except for their ends.  But maybe not;  your post  suggests his 
experience  with poor quality fenders may have been a one  time thing.  There were 
also bins of fenders in the back where you could  pick and choose colors, 
styles, sized, etc.  Bottom line,  I was leary  of getting the 4 pack special 
given that I couldn't examine the fenders and the  poor review posted by someone 
who had bought a pack of Taylor fenders.   Your experience may be more 
representative, thanks for sharing it.
 
For the near term, I'm waiting for a response from Elton and I plan  to visit 
the slip and see what others use and what the fendering  problem/environment 
is, and then it's back to West Marine - or some other source  to get what we 
need.
