Dan,

I actually live in Memphis but MHT, Manchester is my
default city when I'm not simulator instructing. I fly
for proficiency (twice a month) while teaching and
usually pick MHT unless its really cold, then Tampa
gets the nod. The DC-10 is the odd duck of our fleet
now and gets moved around to various cities each
month. Next month MHT is an Airbus city so I'll
probably fly to IAD, Washington, DC instead. I fell in
love with the Manchester area several years ago when I
met some locals on a weekend layover who took me
hiking in the mountains. I have a three day layover
during the Memorial Day weekend that my wife and
daughter are joining me on. We're driving to Maine to
play tourist.

While hanging around the breakroom Monday night at the
MHT ramp I overheard a conversation between couriers.
One was complaining that she had almost hit a moose
during her rounds. The other listed his near misses
over the years. Sounds much like the problem we have
here with deer - "rats with antlers."
