[Rhodes22-list] Politics: Term Limits

I don't mind that the lobbiests are helping craft legislation, they are the experts in the specific subject and ignorant politicians would be obtuse in their regulations.  I just want to know who is doing what and who is contributing to whom.  The campaign finance laws have become clear violations of the 1st Amendment to the Consititution and are so difficult to maneouvre through it is a crime waiting to happen (not unlike the tax laws crafted by the same people!).  

They could use some of that public service money to explain legislation, whose crafting it and what it will do.  Every penny a politician receives should be disclosed and the laws simplified.  McCain-Feingold is a travesty.
