Art,
Was the wireless remote a waste? It certainly wasn't worth what they charge
for it.
Do I regret getting it? Absolutely not! It is really enjoyable to sit on
the bow of the boat and steer. Or even sit in the cockpit and not have to
set your drink down to make a course change. It is a purely non-essential
luxury; but then again, what about a sailboat isn't? I have the remote
instead of a depth sounder and life rails and have used it more that I would
either of them.
I'm not sure what you mean by a remote/repeater. Is it the same as a
wireless, but with a wire?
If you arer thinking about going to Florida, go for it. Just watch out for
the northers if you ventrue into the Atlantic. I can't wait to get back
down there again myself.
