First, thanks for lurking on our behalf, Brad. Thankfully (and selfishly)
nobody I know was involved.

Here's my take on the drug thing: Having lived and worked with musicians,
bar flies, bikers and various other marginal-type groups of people all my
adult life, I can say with certainty that the law has nothing whatsoever to
do with peoples' decision to do what they want. When someone asks, "Hey,
wanna go out and burn one?" I've never heard anyone say, "No, that's
against the law." Nobody I know of cares what the law says. Nobody stays
away from dangerous drugs because it's against the law. Smart people stay
away from dangerous drugs because they're dangerous.

I will admit to my share of experimentation in days gone by. And by golly,
most of my stories are way too much fun to be posted in polite company. But
that was when I was a young party boy and now I'm an old party boy and I
know better! Sorta.

Next, the lines are blurred on what is a dangerous drug. They play heroine
as bad but doctors everywhere freely prescribe Vicodin, Hydrocodone,
Percoset, Tramadol, Fiorinol, etc. I fiendishly enjoyed seeing Rush Limbau
busted for his illicit drug use after his years of railing away at drugies.
F**k him and his hypocritical ass!

Myself, I'm not smart enough to stay away from dangerous drugs. I'm a drug
addict. I'm addicted to Dewars Scotch Whiskey. I can't wait for my
daily fix. I have, however , broken my addiction to Camel Filters. These
two drugs have caused the deaths of many, many more people than all the
others combined.

There's no reason not to legalize marijuana. Heroine is already legal
(Vicodin, et al)
Cocain will be used whether it's legal or not. Methamphetamine is really a
bad one and should remain illegal.

Keep it in perspective, folks.

Slim
