Lee:

I believe Peter Thorn told you the kind of charger to get and use, go back
and look at his post. And it does not come from West Marine, but Northern
Tool. I have had one since they came out with it in addition to my heavy
duty charger/starter.

Just do not do work over water. Tools disappear fast.

Did you read Rummy's post on the Chatooga River. What he did not say, was
the controversy about the restrictions on tubing and canoeing above the Hwy
28 bridge. Above the Hwy 28 bridge it is just hikers and trout fishermen.
And of course bears, coyotes, cougars and wild hogs.

You are all invited to hike to Ellicott's Rock and Commissioners Rock, where
Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina meet. That is several miles
above the fish hatchery and several miles below Bull Pen road which crosses
the primative and senic Chatooga on the Iron Bridge. There is no trail
between the Rock's and the bridge, the gorges are too steep. But you can
always find trout fisherman near the bridge.

You can overlook this area from Whitesides Mountain. This is the origin of
the Chatooga River, see:

The loop trail on Whitesides offers an unique experience. Starting up the
old logging road in front of the the modern out houses the trail goes
northeast and makes a bend south to a small gap. Just before you ascend to
the top along the southern face, there is a small platform. Termals allow
hawks and falcons to use the termals to ascend the face of the mountail. If
you are lucky a bird will ascend while you are on the platform. That puts
you eyeball to eyeball at about 20 feet from the birds ascending with the
thermals. Yes, you can look a Perigrene Falcon in the eye!

So, flatlanders, and motorcycle riders, this all presumes you have what it
takes to get here...
