A creature who lives in a cubicle (derived
from the Olde English "cubit-hole.")

Often referenced in ancient history, they
were very thin and small in stature,
practically emaciated, but fairly uniform
in height - about 18". The uniformity of
their altitudinal achievements led to their
posthumous employment (in dessicated form)
as measuring sticks.

Despite their obvious importance in commerce,
warfare, and boat-building, they became
extinct during the rise of Christianity.
These days, the term's original reference to
small stature has evolved into a derogatory
term denoting extreme lack of status, as is
indicated by the proliferation of cubicle
farms to house corporate serfs.
