Interesting.

He really did repeat the same gag over and over.  We never got any 
closer to the Mystery than that.

Now for my second funny story...about the time I got into an elevator in 
an apartment building late at night without first noticing that there 
was a huge black guy already in the elevator.  I pushed the button for 
the lobby and dropped all pretensions of atheism.  Elevators move 
e.x.t.r.e.m.e.l.y slowly when there is a huge black guy behind you in an 
elevator.  I escaped with my skin and never looked back.

Later I learned that Patrick Ewing owned the penthouse in that building.
