[Rhodes22-list] Bridges

   Has anyone ever tried lowering the mast to get under bridges while
   underway? I have the opportunity to buy a condo with a slip, but there
   is a bridge with 12 foot clearance between me and the great lakes. The
   Macgregor 26 web site displays a boat lowering the mast to get under a
   bridge. I'm wondering if any of you long time R22 sailors have ever
   tried it.
