I use the same whisker pole, for the same reasons (but no topping lift).
Wing out the Genny on the pole and the asymetrical on the other side and she
really flies downwind!

Did you know that the pole will stow on deck without any additional hardware
needed?  The small end fits forward on either side of the bow pulpit bases
and the large end clips on the upper side stay from the outboard side.
Works on either side.  Rigging tape at the base of the bow pulpit makes it a
bit nicer.
