You know Ed, even some of the Neanderthals from Orange County that move up
here become a bit green, I guess there is more Oxygen for their brains, too
bad they can't grow opposable thumbs. Oops did I go too far?

us you were not a liberal before you went west. What does Santa say, 'Ho Ho

For those prices I question the quality of fabric. Sails that come directly
from General Boats are spec'd out in fabric. You said your sails are 10
years old, but boat is 20 years old. I would say this, sails do last 20
years. While some may not like sails that old, there are sailboats that
sail with old sails.

Also, this price on the main sail from Cruising Direct, which design is it.
Stan has a new mail sail design which is proprietary and made for Stan by
Doyle. Did you ever contact General Boats on the cost of a set of new
sails?

Peter has a special interest in racing sails. This is not his first boat
and he adds some experience to the mix. To learn your boat, all you really
need is useable sails.

>From your posts today, I wonder if you are trying to do too much too fast?
One battery for the necessary boat lights ought to get you started. Spend
your time sailing your first year. You can add a loud stereo later. Is
this stereo for mood music? Water slapping on the hull will do that.
