Brad,

We're still waiting for you to tell us why you want to do this.  Your rep
says his boat handles better and doesn't have as much weather helm so can we
assume you have a bad-handling boat with too much helm?  Do you really want
your boat all in pieces like your Bo so you can't use either of them?  Then
your boat parts will all be laying there saying, "Spend money on me!"

By lessening the main sail area you are moving the center of effort forward
which should give you less weather helm.  But do you have to chop off the
boom to do that?  Don't you have some regular reefing system whereby you can
test how much reduction in the main is necessary to get the desired helm?

I like Ed's idea of getting a 30 ft. IMF from Stan if it's retrofittable.

Again, why are you doing this?
