Sorry to see you give up the good fight, Brad.

I am using the Delta Elite Colt Auto with the 
heavier 0.20G shot, and have been able to hit 
the target of choice - red squirrels - at 
ranges from 10 to 20 feet.  No breakdown yet.

I fully admit to discrimination in favor of the 
grays, as they are less destructive and less 
aggressive, so I have let them alone.  Another 
factor is my wife's fondness for the little 
rodents.  Initially, her protection extended to 
the reds, but when the reds started chasing off 
the grays, she sided with the pacifists, 
declaring open season on the reds.

I have to admit, the reds are a challenging 
target!

As to the potato gun, I doubt that any of my 
squirrels would wait around for the 2 minutes 
it takes to pump it up.
