Yeah you could be on the Chesapeake but it would remind you of home.

Sock burning was a couple of weeks ago but there are a lot of 
diehards walking around with cold ankles. Temps have edged up to the 
50s but generally only when it rains. There have been a few days nice 
enough to work on the boat. Still needs light sanding and touching up 
of the bottom paint and then we have to rearrange the masthead gear, 
sort out and install the new forestay and backstay, then raise the 
mast to check everything out and install the new furler. There are a 
couple of days next week forecast to be in the 50s and sunny.

Friends of ours have launched their boats but we've seen very few 
folks sailing. Water temp is still in the high 40s.

We do have daffodils, forsythia and ornamental pears and cherries 
blooming so spring must be close.

Glad to hear your snow is melting. I figure all this cold wind comes 
from the snowpack up north.

And Ron, those pictures didn't help me feel any warmer. ;-)
