[Rhodes22-list] Political response to answer to question for Chris Geankoplis regarding emergency care

Chris said, “I went to the emergency room in Greece and was immediately
seen.”

However, the problem is that is not what is happening in America today.
Freeloaders and uneducated are using the emergency rooms as their primary
medical care. Furthermore, medical doctors often disregard the issue of
inappropriate use of emergency rooms for whatever reasons which results in
delays for real emergency care while they treat a sick but not acute
indigent.

Having worked for many years in support of emergency rooms, so much of what
I did was not real medical emergency care that eventually I and many others
got disillusioned with what is going on. Your examples are illustrative of
what emergency rooms are for and should be for. The charges are not fair,
but that is not my issue in this reply.

This comment was only in reply to Chris and is not intended for others to
springboard political discussion.

“Liberalism was born when Satan told Eve, “Do want you want to do.” This is
contrary to God’s meaning of freedom. The Bible says God made mankind and
put him in the Garden of Eden to care for it. That is what freedom in
democracy means – opportunity plus responsibility. Liberalism removes
responsibility from freedom. Socialism removes opportunity.” Charles A.
