Ed,

I do not agree that this is a "good picture" of gasohol (or were you just 
interested in the actual photo?)  Check the archives for the discussion on 
Sta-Bil back in July '08,

The product reviews were as follows:

    The Pri-G also claims to refresh old fuel to "refinery fresh" by 
preventing
    gum and varnish formation as well as treating the phase separation noted 
in
    E-10.  They claim storage capability of years
    (http://www.priproducts.com/prigproduct.htm .)  E-Zorb claims to 
emulsify
    ethanol and water so that they may be burned.  Most reviews of E-Zorb 
and
    Sta-Bil note that the fuel should be consumed within 60 days, although 
both
    are sold for "winterizing" fuel.  All are compatible with 2- and 4-cycle
    engines.

I think that Mercury Marine wants to avoid all liability and scare folks 
into using their stabilizer.
