Slim:

When people talk, some say something meaningful and honest and others just
double talk and gibberish. Many religious people go to revivals and here
the likes of Elmer Gantry, Jim Baker, and many, many others. While I
believe they should be free to do so, I question what they hear.

Non religious people listen to their equivalent of slick talkers and feel
good sounding rhetoric. Many people have replaced historical religions with
atheistic socialism. While I do not suggest all people have to believe in
traditional religions, I do question what they have adopted in lieu of them.
Again, I question what these new traditional religion substitutes are
saying.

You used the phrase GOP – Greed Over People. Take time to examine who gives
to charitable causes, and that is any charitable cause. From my analysis of
the numbers, I see conservative people giving more, I see religious people
giving more, I see people you call greedy, those who have attained financial
success giving more. I ask you with numbers to prove me wrong.

Slim said, "McCain is obviously playing to the upset Clinton supporters."
What is the goal here? The goal is to win the Presidency.

Have you considered the degree that McCain choose her to maintain his
maverick, anti Washington establishment persona. That approach will not,
does not sit well with those who want government to do everything and
control people. That approach does not sit well with those who have
accepted the religion substitute of socialism, progressivism and communism.

Brad,

I think she's right about ANWR. Yep, that's me who said that. You know I'm
a liberal but I'm pulling for more domestic drilling. And you can
definitely put me in the "all of the above" column.

BUT... let's say McCain dies and she's the pres. Do you think she's ready
to lock horns with the likes of Vlad "The Impaler" Putin? Kim Jong Il?
Ahmadinnerjacket? So much for the argument over Obama's inexperience. I'd
want Barack to face off with those characters WAY more than Poofy Palin.

McCain is obviously playing to the upset Clinton supporters. She's
pro-choice. She's a loose cannon among the GOP (Greed Over People) and this
will not help him in his party. He's vying for the independents and the
women but it won't work. He just sealed Obama's victory. Thank God he
didn't pick Pawlenty which might have turned our blue state to red and left
us with Carol Molnau as our gov. Whew!
