Elle,

I'm sure 301 to 50 will be the quickest.  MapQuest takes me down 301 to
Swan Point near the mouth of the Potomac, and I'm guessing that's east
of you.

Route 2 through Annapolis on a Sunday morning won't be that bad, but I
can't remember how slow going it is south of Annapolis.
