Matt,

Sailnet.com is back in business and has some of the best prices on
inflatable PFD's. I spend a lot of time on my boat solo and prefer the
pouch type PFD for maximum freedom of movement. When solo, I also trail a
fender on a long line with the hope that I can swim to the line before the
boat sails away. Teach your wife and kids the MOB (man over board) drill or
at least teach them how to immediately douse the sails. If you use my
single-handing technique, don't forget the line is there when you fire-up
the engine. Don't ask, just trust me on that issue. I find that the range
on my handheld VHF is close enough to the ship-mounted unit that I wouldn't
fool with a permanent mount if my boat didn't already have one.
Congratulations on your purchase! Stan and Rose build a world class
product.

Brad
