Many would disagree with his selection, especially those on this listserve. 
His primary reason for not selecting the Rhodes was because of his manly
size, which is slightly smaller than you.

You received some great responses on this list.  Taking Chris G. up on his
invitation is probably the best advice.  After a spending some time sailing
on the Rhodes you'll probably be able to figure out if she's right for you.

Seems like the biggest decision will be how easy you want the boat to be
trailered.  Boats that are easier to trailer than the Rhodes are less stable
and boats that are more stable are harder to trailer.  The big 175 genoa is
fantastic in the right conditions, but you can easily broach the boat in
moderate wind if the thing isn't reefed.  If you know the boat and how much
sail should be out, it's extremely stable for a boat that can be trailered
with a reasonable size vehicle.
