What are your requirements?

We didn't have many. It had to transport 2 people & be easily stowed.
Didn't have to be too tough (no dogs or rocky shores) so we ended up
with the Sevylor 3 person Supercaravelle. Slightly heavier material
than their cheapest one. It's lasted through 9 seasons of light use
but if we had to buy one a year we would have come out slightly ahead
or about even for the lowest price point "real" dinghy. We did
purchase an upgraded set of oars. We only use it to row short
distances in calm weather. It doesn't row very well but will get you
from the boat to shore if you are in close.

There are to be other possibilities out there. The Kaynors had a real
dinghy with a small outboard. I think the dinghy and the outboard
stowed under the seats but took up most of the space. It was very
sturdy. Seems to me that someone had a Sea Eagle they liked
