We had a cowl vent but don't use it anymore. Even with throat of vent pointed toward mast to prevent over the bow spray from entering, base of vent tended to leak with heavy rains even when sealed with silicone. Water in anchor line well made line slimy and smelly for V berth occupants. So we keep anchor,  rode and line under cockpit seat but don't use anchor very much anyway.

  I reciently visited Stan's facility and got a variety of new and used equipment. One of the items was a cowl vent but I didn't look inside one of the newer boats at the anchor storage. Now that the subject has come up are there any pictures of the setup inside? I'm sure I could make somethin up but it would be nice to see what the real thing looks like.
