Absolutely....no argument there. Go off on any tangent...It's not the what...it's the how.....

But is there a reason that there has to be name-calling, slurs, and bullying? 

That just distracts from the topic at hand..whatever it is, sailing related or not.....

What does name-calling and bullying add to the list? How does that enhance the discussion of the topic? 

I think it just stops the discussion in its tracks...or causes John to have to step in & put everyone back in their corners.
