Andrew & Michael C:

Andrew, I do not remember where you are or what year your boat is. A little
more information would be helpful. Regardless, you need to immediately
determine the source of the water.

Possible sources include the vent that Michael C keeps asking about. Or, is
it your fresh water tank or hoses and connections to it? A search of the
archives might reveal where another boat needed a new tank or hoses (for
sure). This issue needs to be addressed before you sustain water damage.

Michael C - the shelf is where it was... yes, it can catch stray drops of
water. The idea was not mine, so there are other Nicro vents out there on
Rhodes 22’s. What they did with their trays is a question waiting for an
answer.

About the list answering questions lately, there are reasons for the failure
of the list to appropriately and quickly respond to questions. This is
prime vacation time. There are several members of the forum on vacation
this week and others getting ready to go next week.

Then there are the archives and newbies need to use them. Older members
have answered the same questions many times. I joined this motley crew in
the last century. At a point some just get tired of typing the same words
and answers, so use the archives to do simple research. If you do not know
how, ask.

Then another answer is political. This forum has a predominance of social
democrats and beltway bureaucrats who talk a good deed but stumble on
routine blue collar help. The exception is the signee who claims to be an
enlightened capitalist. The help that this list has given is gratuitous.
Unfortunately many recipients’ of the help, no longer nor maybe never have,
feel any obligation to continue the gift.

Furthermore, there are those who ascribe to keeping the list email volume
low. The failure to do so has irritated them that they no longer subscribe.
While this is a loss, it is really a demonstration of a short fuse or the
above stated failure to continue the gift.

Andrew, I encourage you to repost your questions and research the archives.
Again, find the source of the water problem.
