[Rhodes22-list] Could I Have Another Helping of Big Government, Please?

Robert,

Ah, what the hell, may as well solve this problem before I go shower after
tinkering with 'da plane' and suffering from old man's muscle soreness. The
run-up in health care costs at every state that has experimented with
'universal health care' is the problems associated in the initial visit and
the final visit. Snotty noses are inevitable and it should cost you at
least fifty bucks to visit a doctor just to remind everyone that snotty
noses are 'normal' in little kids. They build immunity. There comes a time
when even the 'miracle' cures aren't going to save your 90 year old
grandmother. Somewhere here "in between" is a solution. We can argue about
the details, but I think everyone ought to be responsible for the first
$2500 of their health care. Tell you what, I'll pick someone at random and
'sponsor' them at that level. That's bullshit, I'll pick my brother or my
son first! If we solve the tail-ends of the problem, the middle will be
much easier to solve. Anyone who tells you differently is blowing smoke!
