Joe & Art, Boca Ciaga was my stomping grounds for the last 15 Summers. A cruise that was always a crowd pleaser was to go out Pass-a-grill, stop for a swim at shell Is. then head out to Green 3 and hang a Left. Egmont Key will be dead ahead. Anchor on the east side of the Island. There is an abandoned fort there to walk around and plenty of empty beach to explore. Excellent choice, as is Panama City. I plan to sail PC this Summer if you get down this way. Both have excellent beaches, much to do in addition to sailing and some nice reasonable cruising destinations to take advantage of. I noticed in a recent news release that three Florida beaches were voted into the top 20 world beaches, although not sure why the Miracle Strip (panhandle) beaches were not mentioned. I am not as keen on the Atlantic Coast venues, even though the Golden Isles are a popular destination. I am not familiar with the NC area at all, although I'm sure excellent.> Art> > -----Original Message-----> >From: Ron Singerman <sail at tds.net>> >Sent: May 27, 2008 9:03 AM> >To: The Rhodes 22 mail list <rhodes22-list at rhodes22.org>> >Subject: Re: [Rhodes22-list] Position of the CB and The begining of the odyssey.> >> >Joe,> >> >I sailed out of Gulfport at the Boca Ciega Yacht Club.
