[Rhodes22-list] The end of the Rove era -- Political

Brad,

The funny thing is I hear folks like that talk from the "intellectual"
viewpoint, while others actually live the hope. I have a black nephew
named after me. My stepfather is a Mexican national that "came here
illegally and worked his ass off for a few years" and then decided to
take the government up on their last amnesty plan. I have nieces and
nephews that I love and care for that are Chinese, Korean, Black,
Mexican, and a few (not many) that are 100% Anglo (as far as we can
tell). My brother and sister are half-Polish born with the surname
Czuprewicz that removed any doubt as to their ancestry. My view is that
f you can't have fun with that stuff, then you have a problem.

And yes, the country still has a problem. We'll get over it.

Someday, possibly in my lifetime, you won't be able to look at a person
and easily discern their ancestry. Then, if they look at a chimp, maybe
you'll be allowed to make a joke and laugh.
