I am sorry that I picked on you specifically, but I saw in your post and
replies to Herb a tone that incited him further.

I picked up an anti religious tone in several posts. Until I read Whittaker
Chamber's letter to his children, I never equated that doing away with
peoples religion was a core concept to Marxism. Yes, I had heard the term
atheist applied. But I previously I focused on 'shared wealth' and economic
issues.

I live in Greenville, SC, home of Bob Jones University. When I arrived
here, my view was shaped by the media reports about the University and its
teachings.

Bob Jones University may be a fundamentalist religious institution but it is
not what the media says it is, nor are the people associated with it. There
are whole lot theologies out there and the tiniest of differences separate
them. Often they fail to see that they believe in the same God.
Ironically, Bob Jones University does not focus on a single Protestant
religion.

For over a year, I had a guy work for me who was studying voice at Bob
Jones. So I appreciate what you try to do. He sang in many of their
musical productions, not all were religious. He sang some Opera. But he
had to have another job so he could sing.

I constantly refer people looking for sails, parts, etc. to Stan because he
has sources of products at manufacturers’ costs. He also knows the quality
of the products involved. He occasionally has things like good used sails
which he offers at a fair price. So for those Rhodies out there who cannot
afford new and you should know there are many, often you can get a
serviceable used sail, or whatever from Stan at less than you find
elsewhere.

I have dealt with 'Sail Care'. They do fairly good work at a fair price.
Since over the years they have refurbished most boat model sails, they
should have a large file of measurements.

As to any sail not made to Stan's specs but a sail maker’s modification, I
have to stop. Stan has tried many measurement variations. He knows which
shape works best and materials lasts the longest.

Maybe you should find a gig singing near Edenton, North Carolina. You might
be surprised. Maybe you could team up with Slim for a gig? Maybe both of
you guys sign on a cruise ship as the piano and song entertainment?

If you do not smoke, maybe Stan would put you to work for a few weeks. That
is if anybody is buying sailboats next year.

And Ben said now the ambulance follows him? Was it his boat that Stan
installed the built in oxygen system? You know like the guy in line at the
supermarket with the O2 bottle in tow.
