[Rhodes22-list] Pain in the Buttinsky..

Last night I was readying a medium-sized order of cards for a local store and my workhorse printer decided it didn't want to pull the paper through anymore. Regular bond paper worked fine, but not the premium cardstock I use for my notecards...(It's been acting fluky for a few months...but I'd been able to cajole it to work...)   What to DO? What to DO? 

Call HP....speak to Pakistani Pete...tell Pete rePETEdly that I have  a MAC...he tells me that they (now I know he meant the Pakistan site ) doesn't support Mac...Note to self...say 'PhotoSmart', then 'Mac'...and get sent DIRECTLY to Canada...;^) .From this point on, things went swimmingly. Fortunately, when I'd bought this printer, it was a good deal so I sprung for the 3 yr warranty....still have 9 mos to go...so they are sending me a (reconditioned) replacement via o/nite ship...(Brad...check the labels...it may be on your plane!)

Meanwhile, I'm hooked up a new one (very similar) that I'd bought really really cheap back in the summer when HP was clearing out old models.

Now the fun of crawling around & plugging & unplugging begins...
