You're on!  I Googled about 20 sites and still couldn't find the point spread on the game, but it looks likely that Navy may beat us again this year.  How about the loser buys lunch at the next Annapolis boat show?

Speaking of the military, my son made me a very proud papa today and I just have to share the news.  He received an Army ROTC scholarship for Loyola in Baltimore.  The scholarship covers everything but room and board, and Loyola is picking that up.  That's more than $200,000 over four years.  His comment was that now I can buy a new boat.  Man I love that kid!  I love my wife too, but not as much after she said that we didn't have that kind of money for college so I wouldn't be spending that much on a boat.  I think a new Rhodes would be a fair compromise.

Somehow I knew I'd get a reaction.  I'd never try in the power boat mode for certain,  Even if it didn't tip, the experience at 15k would not be enjoyable.  I usually operate the M26 as a power boat with a stubby and my boomroom, and it starts to be very comfortable and economical. 

When I first explored the feasibility of a ~26' powerboat, most take a really bad hit on upfront costs, trailability, running costs, and maintenance.  Bill Effros has a stubby for his boat if I am correct.  He'd probably have a damn nice little power rig if he used it on his boat, although who of us would not prefer to sail?  BTW, any bets on the Army-Navy?
