I will be going over motor options with Stan soon for my new R22. I beleive
Stan's boat that I took out this past spring had a Yamaha 9.9 with remote
on the tiller that Stan re-builds from recycled parts. It also had an
electric start and electric mechanism to raise and lower the engine. This
seems to be Stan's prefered installation. I like the ease of use and the
way that the motor and rudder connect and work together. Are R22 owners
finding a better off the shelf set of controls that you prefer over what
Stan recomends?
