[Rhodes22-list] Using Engine Hoist to Lift Boat Off Trailer

Luis,
  The materials you will need are-
1 - piece of 1" round stock 11" long
2-Pieces of 1/4"  thick angle iron 1 1/2" wide by 8 1/2" long
Directions-
 take the round stock and lay 5 " of it inside the angle,weld the round
stock to the angle on both sides of the angle.
Lay the other angle on top of the first angle so that it makes a
rectangle not a square.weld the mating edges of the angles
this last step to secure the attachment to the hoist- cut or grind a
1/2" V in the bottom of the unit  5 1/2" back from the end that the
round stock sticks out of.

The last step depends on how the chain mounts on your lift.On mine,the
top chain link goes thru a slot cut into the bottom of the square tubing
on the hoist,and a bolt from side to side of the tubing on the inside
bottom captures the link
